the Soggy Burrito needs to find ol Ced's lawyer, that's for sure. he knows how to make DWI charges go away.

TG,

He gets the pay. They suspended him with pay. I bet ol' Tommy was in the seat next to him and probably had enough 'shine on his breath they didn't need to blow.

See, this is weird....

I said the same thing elsewhere (without pay) yesterday, and now TG said it too. When it was just me I figured I must've read it wrong and forgot about it, but now I'm thinking there might've been some mis-reporting. I can't find the article I read yesterday, but it's weird that both me and TG saw the same thing.

Giga, you and I must have seen the same article yesterday. I'm sure the article I read yesterday said without pay but the newspaper, today, said with pay.

Anyway, he will be back in time for Big XII play.

I am sure it will go away and he will be back.

Laughed when I saw the arrst was on Baylor Street. His mug shot shows that he knows he is above and problems like DWI's.

I wonder why he didnt have to do the blood test after he refused breath test? Thought it was automatic.

No, they would have to get a warrant to get the blood. Bell county did that on New Years, everyone that refused a breath test, the DA was in his office issuing out warrants for blood tests.

Can the individual not submit to a blood test without a warrant? I know that personally I would *NEVER* submit to a breath test, but would gladly submit to a blood test.

Well, frankly, I'd never drive drunk, but that's another story.

Everyone has driven drunk, by legal terms, if you say you haven't, well, you might not ever drink. The legal limit is one beer an hour and how many have had two beers at dinner? Two glasses of wine over dinner? Garrido said he had 5 glasses of wine, which just goes to show he sucks grapes.

I suppose if you go by those terms, I have driven drunk 3 times in my life. Thing is, I just don't drink if I know I'm going to have to drive anywhere. I've got enough problems without having to worry about a DUI/DWI :001_tt2:

They did it down here too.

Lesson here is never blow and never let them take blood. Attorney's fees are much better than jail.

What do you wanna bet he's sentenced to community service and they allowing coaching to cover his commitment?

Used to be an easy saying, "You don't blow, you don't go." Now it is an admission of guilt, but they can't prove it, so it most likely gets downgraded. Never been there, but I've been told.

I was always told that you would submit to either urine or blood, but not to blow... then they would have to take you to their station, because if they asked you for a urine sample right on the spot, your argument would be that they were just trying to entrap you to have you expose yourself in public and then they could really arrest you. When you get to the station, you require that the person administering the blood test is a registered nurse with phlobotomy experience (blood drawing), and if she is not, you can protest the blood sample until that point.

Or you could just call a cab.

Don't drive drunk
Call a cab

If you are stupid and do drive drunk I've been told to politely refuse to take any field sobriety tests and/or breath tests and ask to contact your attorney. It has also been suggested that you lean against your car (you're on camera and wouldn't want to appear to be swaying).

I was told by a DA friend to not even get out of the car. Just put a little sign on the window that says you take the 5th to not incriminate yourself. They can't forcefully remove you, or couldn't at that time. I'm sure they would not be happy to sit there with you sleeping it off in the car, but if they don't have a warrant...

That is correct.
