Alaskan Earthquake 'to be Expected,' says Baylor Researcher

As reports of a strong earthquake in Alaska continue to emerge today, a Baylor University earthquake researcher says the quake is not an unusual event in this area.

man 5.4 isn't excactly a small earthquake. Of course in an area where there are very few people per square mile it is. Anyone ever read about/see any specials on that huge one they had in Alaska in the 50's (?) I don't remeber when excactly but it was a big one. I never knew until I read about that quake that Alaska has alot every year but they don't make the news because they rarely hit civilization
