There was a thread on the site not to be named about the football players to be honored during games this year. Among those named was Charles Benson.

Does anyone know which game he is to be honored during? (Limnos?) Who can I contact to find out this information?

Benson played high school ball for my dad. He'd love to come see him honored!

I was the ball boy back when he was killing running backs as a linebacker way back then... :laugh:

I'm not aware of a specific program like that Frisco so ATx's offer might be the way to go. I usually can get my hand on a fewpair of free tix as well but they are usually 5-15 yard liners. I give away every ticket I find and usually give them to someone who has a kid that may not be able to afford it.

If you want i can ask around though. It would be my pleasure.

I was a freshman on the team when Charlie B was Senior. It was a joy to watch that guy operate. Dude lifted like zero weights in weightroom but was an All-American!

Robby, I was allergic to iron as well...

I always saved up my energy for the mile run after lifting. Always finished first or second in the run.

The presentation for Charles Benson was not done during the Washington State game. I'm sure Ike screwed that up.

Does anyone know when this will be made up? Saturday? Later in the season? I'm guessing they will double up one Saturday.

I talked to Walter about this. He is rescheduled to Parents weekend I think. If not it was Homecoming. I can't remember off the top of my head. Ike did indeed interfere. We were going to honor Fred Miller I believe at one game and he has since signed with the Chicago Bears. That is the day we are honoring Mr. Benson.
