View Full Version : RSS feed differentiation?

Just a suggestion that I don't know if it's possible....

is there any way to differentiate the posting of the RSS feeds to make it really easy to see? Personally I ignore them, but I'm sure some people will want the information. Either way, if they could be made a different color or something it would be cool---right now they just annoy me because they clutter the board up so bad.

Or how about....

if you can't differentiate colors, set it to sticky for 24 hours, then auto-archive if no posts in it? If there are posts in it that's one thing, but almost all of them are empty threads.

They are not being stickied anymore and if they are accidentally I unsticky them. They should be falling quickly out of the way due to no posts, but I have found several of them interesting. I do nto know if your suggestion is possible, but ATX could chime in.

At the end of the day, what will likely start happening with traffic is that Limnos and I will merge threads frequently, so discussions on the same topics will be in one place. For instance, Scrimmage reports will likely all merge into one thread with moderation.

Also, people will not be starting multiple threads on the same topic, because if they do, they will meet the merge monster.

This should keep it clean, You can always put bigbearfan on ignore also, as he will be doing all the RSS.

I don't want to put BBF on ignore because there will probably be some threads I will want to see.

I think part of it is just a formatting issue. For some reason, threads on this forum don't stand out as well as they do on other VB boards I frequent. I like the color scheme, it's just not as easy to tell what's going on as other boards.

Just a suggestion.
