Guys (and gals),
I've set up a Yahoo College Pick 'Em League if anyone would like to join.
Simply go here:
http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/college
Click on "Join A Group"
The Group # is: 22820
Password is artbriles (all one word)
The league is completely free, of course, but you do need a free Yahoo account to sign in.
For those who have never played it works like this:
Each week there is a pool of games and you must pick the winner of these game against their respective spreads. In doing so, you also assign "confidence points" to that game. If you pick the correct team, then you will receive the amount of "confidence points" you assigned to that game. If you do not pick the correct team, you get no points.
Thus, if Texas Tech is playing Louisiana Monroe and the spread is Tech -14 and Texas is playing Texas A&M and the spread is Texas -7, you are probably going to be more confident that Tech will beat ULM by more than 14, so you will assign it more points that you would Texas playing A&M.
Make sense?
I've already signed up as the Fightin' Mongooses.

Try again with all lowercase. That may have been the problem.

Not in. Thanks for setting it up, but fantasy football takes me away from my walk with Christ... big time.

Taking this to the top so everyone remembers to make their picks for this week.
I've set up the league so that it drops your worst week from your total score.
You should also be able to change your picks up to 5 minutes before each individual game.

I think I did my confidence points exactly backwards of what they're meant for. I picked them as the number of points I would received if the team covered, but I think that's wrong.

Someone figure it out because I did the same thing I think.

The bigger points on the ones you are most confident.

Whew...did it right
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/footballpickem_c/picks/cfpick-15.html
So, if you pick Penn State to beat Notre Dame and assign the game a confidence point value of 15, you'd get 15 points for a correct pick, but no points if Notre Dame wins. You don't lose points for an incorrect selection.

Any reason why we just didnt go with 1 pt for every correct pick? You could pick every game wrong except for 1, assign all of your "confidence points" to it and still end up on top as long as you hit that game with some regularity.
As another aside, anyone know why they put up 6+ games with no line?

I don't know... but I do know I did not have a line on any of them when I was picking.

Usually no line offered on games between D1 and D1AA teams (LSU/App State, tOSU/Youngstown St, etc).
