This guy is amazing. I suggested he be redshirted earlier in the summer. But after watching this guy in action, he is the real deal. I am eating my crow as I type this.

First college game and he has the #7 highlight on ESPN's Top Ten.

Go Griffin!!

one game, and he looked OK, he still has a lot of learning to do.

Yes he does have a lot to learn but his future is bright. With Griffin at the helm we should get better. Whenever we in the 5 we should let Griffin run a bootleg to the outside.

I agree that he has some learning to do, but to be honest, he seemed to have a better command of the offense than Freeman. The long ball that Gettis dropped in the end zone was better than any pass Freeman threw all night.

Griffin is a legitimate superstar kind of kid. he has all of the tools that we will talk about for years if he can stay healthy and continue to play. I am very thankful that this young man came to Baylor.

Having the opportunity to watch Griffin several times in HS, I was hoping he could transition to college play. His first game as a true freshman has shown me that he can.

He will make the traditional freshman mistakes, but he will only get better.

Alot to learn? Perhaps. Less to learn than our other QB's? Perhaps.

Bottom line is this - Griffin has elite level athletic ability and talent and gives us our best chance to win at the QB position.

He just needs to stay healthy.

This is the real reason I think he will be FOY.

The kid has another gear that most kids just don't have. That move on the sideline was nothing short of spectacular. Not just the speed part, but the intelligence to know what to do.

We have a QB for the first time in a long time. He is better than the last decade. He could forget more about winning and still be ahead of every QB during my 4 years at Baylor.
