Nein, please tell Mrs. Nein I'm sorry I haven't been back in touch. Been a little nutty here the last couple of days. We're going to the Island for a couple of days, starting tomorrow, to try and get work done on the house and see what shape the store is in. Tomorrow is the first day they're letting folks back. Pray for our noses. There's mold, which I'm highly allergic to, and the coolers at the store will smell like there's no tomorrow. Luckily, we procured masks. Mimi will be chillin' with The Pooky the next two days. Please also give Baby Nein a big howdy from his internet gf. She misses him.
She had to find a pedi here in exile country today to treat her rash that won't go away. Turns out it's yeast. Blech... thrush part two. We got some samples of some stuff and it's already working. I was making an appt with a pedi near my parents' house then right after I made it, I saw one of my closest friends from HS is a pedi at the Texas Children's office here in Katy. If we need anything else, we'll probably try and get in with her, although this doctor we saw today was very nice.
Hope everyone is doing well. No time really to catch up on the thread these days, so I just have see the current page I'm responding on for the last couple of days. Who knew being homeless would be so busy?
PS, I love fondue restaurants. Wacoso hates them. He did take me for my b-day in Dallas, then was appalled when the bill came and it was that high and he was still that hungry. I think we may have stopped at a fast food restaurant on the way home so he could get his tummy happily full.

Tomorrow will be the day to see where we stand. Good news, the storm doors on the store worked. Bad news, f-i-l wouldn't go in despite having a key. He was down on the island for other business and said he didnt' have time. I just think the smell of 240 burger patties might have gotten him faster. :)
Can't wait to assess the damage to the store, house, and help friends with the cleanup. (BC handles the insurance so I don't have to hassle with them, :)) I know they'll enjoy the cold beer, red bull, hot coffee, sports bras, and more we've got in the truck. Now, we'll get to see where, when, how, and more of getting our offseason kicked in again.
Hearing the San Luis Convention Center isn't letting in evacuees due to a convention coming up in October. Well, that convention is the one we go to every year and buy all the cool things we sell. Can't wait to see if it happens. If not, I'll be travelling a little to my suppliers. OKC, San Clemente, NC, FL, etc... Could be a fun ride.

Hi Pals,
I’m against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.
Instead, I’m in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in
a We Deserve It Dividend.
To make the math simple, let’s assume there are 200,000,000
bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.
Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman
and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..
So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals $425,000.00.
My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a
We Deserve It Dividend.
Of course, it would NOT be tax free.
So let’s assume a tax rate of 30%.
Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes.
That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.
But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.
A husband and wife has $595,000.00.
What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?
Pay off your mortgage – housing crisis solved.
Repay college loans – what a great boost to new grads
Put away money for college – it’ll be there
Save in a bank – create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car – create jobs
Invest in the market – capital drives growth
Pay for your parent’s medical insurance – health care improves
Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean – or else
Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks
who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company
that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.
If we’re going to re-distribute wealth let’s really do it...instead of trickling out
a puny $1000.00 ( “vote buy” ) economic incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President.
If we’re going to do an $85 billion bailout, let’s bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!
As for AIG – liquidate it.
Sell off its parts.
Let American General go back to being American General.
Sell off the real estate.
Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.
Here’s my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn’t.
Sure it’s a crazy idea that can “never work.”
But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!
How do you spell Economic Boom?
I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion
We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC .
And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned
instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.
Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest.

Hope it went well on the island. Day one of parenting on my own went great. Actually, it went too well which means I fully expect complete and total meltdown tomorrow.
Lessons learned for the day:
1) Baby loves Janie and Jack (or Jack and Janie, I forget)
2) Baby's mommy loves it even more when baby shows up in adorable new clothes
3) There are a lot of parks in Cleveland
4) You can change a baby in the trunk
5) You HAVE to change the baby in the trunk because there arent near enough family restrooms and men's rooms do not have changing tables
6) A baby can make a mess with a cupcake that was previously unheard of in level of messy world
7) Bathing a baby in the sink is too cute until he splashes like Shamu
8) Stay at home parents have full time work. Get baby up, feed baby play with baby, put baby to bed, clean up mess from play time while baby sleeps, wake baby, feed baby, play with baby, put baby to bed, clean up mess from playtime and lunchtime, wash, rinse and repeat.
9) I have some awesome friends, it was great hearing from so many of you today. Much appreciated.
10) I like you all...but she is incredible and I cant believe how lucky I am to have found her.

Morning everyone!
Not to take away from Missle's job...but here is a joke for ya!
A man wanted to get married. He was having trouble choosing among three likely candidates. He gives each woman a present of $5,000 and watches to see what they do with the money.
The first does a total make over. She goes to a fancy beauty salon gets her hair done, new make up and buys several new outfits and dresses up very nicely for the man. She tells him that she has done this to be more a attractive for him because she loves him so much.
The man was impressed.
The second goes shopping to buy the man gifts. She gets him a new set of golf clubs, some new gizmos for his computer, and some expensive clothes. As she presents these gifts, she tells him that she has spent all the money on him because she loves him so much.
Again, the man is impressed.
The third invests the money in the stock market. She earns several times the $5,000. She gives him back his $5,000 and reinvests the remainder in a joint account. She tells him that she wants to save for their future because she loves him so much.
Obviously, the man was impressed
The man thought for a long time about what each woman had done with the money he'd given her.

Then, he married the one with the biggest boobs.
Men are like that, you know.
Boobs never mattered much to me. I'm going for the one with the CASH!!! Or the new Golf Clubs. Hard choice.

Part of being a wingman is being there to "fall on the grenade" and the "C" part of BC keeps this from happening.......

I got scooped on this the other day on FFA, but I thought you guys would like it.
We use to pull off highway 249
Had a cool little place where we'd go hide on a Friday night
And get away from the city lights
We'd find a little wood and build a fire
Sonebody'd always bring a couple guitars
And we'd take turns singin' songs and watching it burn
We'd do "Ramblin' Man", "Proud Mary". and "American Band"
We'd be singin' at the top of our lungs
Chours:
It was always the love songs every time
Made everybody feel something inside
With the fire down low held your girl real close
Made you wanna love the one you wre with
Gave you the courage of that first kiss
It was the love songs always the love songs
There was always a line stuck in your head
That was said in a way you wished you could've said
But you both knew they were singin' it right to you
It felt so good those times you had
That feelin' of wanting sombody so bad
Made you weak in the heart you couldn't take being apart
Honky tonk drinkin' songs we could do 'em all night long
But the ones i remember the most
Repeat Chours
We'd be singin' at the top of our lungs
Repear Chours
Always the love songs
Always the love songs

Loving you the way I do
I only wanna be with you
And I will go
To the ends of the earth,
Cause darling, to me thats what you're worth
Chorus
Where you lead
I will follow
Anywhere that you tell me to
If you need, if you need me to be with you
I will follow
Where you lead
If you're out on the road
Feelin' lonely and so cold
All you have to do is call my name
And I'll be there
On the next train
Chorus
I always wanted a real home
With flowers on the windowsill
But if you wanna live in New York City
Honey, you know I will
I never thought I could get satisfaction
From just one man
But if anyone can keep me happy
You're the one who can
Chorus (2x)
Oh baby, ohh, I'm gonna follow where you lead
I'm gonna follow where you lead
I'm gonna follow where you lead
I'm gonna follow where you lead

She's got a bumper like a billboard
Covered in stickers of her favorita band
She's got a hangful of records that she turns to
When she needs to land
She's a saturday night parade through the streets
That all eyes some to see including me
She carries memories around like souvenirs down in her pockets
She should have let some go by now but can't seem to drop it
Says forgiveness ain't nothing but a lifeless tire on the shoulder of her soul
That never rolls
Chours:
For as much as she stumbled she's runnin'
For as much as she runs she's still here
Always hoping to find something quicker than heaven
To make the damage of her days disappear
Just like Guinevere
Just like Guinevere
She don't hold onto nothin' new for very long
Yeah she writes you in as just one more tale
and then you're gone
'Cause she once fell hard 'cause she dropped her guard
And no one gets to stay it's just too late
Repeat Chorus
For as much as she stumbled she's runnin'
For as much as she runs she's still here
For as much as she stumbled she's runnin'
For as much as she runs she's still here
Always hoping to find something quicker than heaven
To make the damage of her days disappear
Just like Guinevere

Cowboy Poetry
Jake, the rancher, went one day
to fix a distant fence.
The wind was cold and gusty
and the clouds rolled gray and dense.
As he pounded the last staples in
and gathered tools to go,
The temperature had fallen,
the wind and snow began to blow.
When he finally reached his pickup,
he felt a heavy heart.
>From the sound of that ignition,
he knew it wouldn't start.
So Jake did what most of us
would do if we had been there.
He humbly bowed his balding head
and sent aloft a prayer.
As he turned the key for the last time,
he softly cursed his luck.
They found him three days later,
frozen stiff in that old truck.
Now Jake had been around in life
and done his share of roaming.
But when he saw Heaven, he was shocked --
it looked just like Wyoming !
Of all the saints in Heaven,
his favorite was St. Peter.
(Now, this line ain't needed
but it helps with rhyme and meter)
So they set and talked a minute or two,
or maybe it was three.
Nobody was keeping' score --
in Heaven time is free.
"I've always heard," Jake said to Pete,
"that God will answer prayer,
But one time I asked for help,
well, he just plain wasn't there."
"Does God answer prayers of some,
and ignore the prayers of others?
That don't seem exactly square --
I know all men are brothers."
"Or does he randomly reply,
without good rhyme or reason?
Maybe, it's the time of day,
the weather or the season."
"Now I ain't trying to act smart,
it's just the way I feel.
And I was wondering', could you tell me --
what the heck's the deal?!"
Peter listened very patiently
and when Jake was done,
There were smiles of recognition,
and he said, "So, you're the one!!"
"That day your truck, it wouldn't start,
and you sent your prayer a flying,
You gave us all a real bad time,
with hundreds of us trying."
"A thousand angels rushed,
to check the status of your file,
But you know, Jake, we hadn't heard
from you in quite a long while."
"And though all prayers are answered,
and God ain't got no quota,
He didn't recognize your voice,
and started a truck in Minnesota ."
