Post Bears Receive Votes in National Polls

On the strength of a season-opening 24-21 victory at Wake Forest last Saturday, Baylor football received votes in both national polls released Tuesday.

awesome. Looks like the Bears are starting to get some respect from media/coaches around the country and people realize that there are some major changes going on around here and it was not a "fluke" win. nor fluke games last year.

Good point! I was pleased and impressed with the Bears keeping the lead from wire to wire without having to struggle to hold on to the lead or not finishing it like they did last year. I could see the players' confidence in themselves especially with the D's intense focus throughout the game. Props to the whole team.

I was a little nervous there at the end when we gave them back the ball. Major props to the defense for holding!

so this weeks polls are out and it is some of the same old stuff. Teams with name recognition getting votes. Florida state is receiving votes when they barely beat a division 1 AA team (or FCS or whatever its called).

Oh well at least Baylor is still getting votes in one poll and probably just forgot about due to the week off in the other one.
